Dave started out in the entertainment industry in 1994 as a DJ and quiz host across Central Scotland before venturing into commercial radio in 2002. He started his career as a radio broadcaster on Fife’s Kingdom FM and its sister stations as a regular daytime presenter before moving on to Central FM, Wave102 and YOUR Radio FM. When RockSport Radio launched on Central Scotland DAB in 2013, it was too good an offer to refuse, combining Dave’s two favourite things, music and sport. Dave can now be heard on DAB across the west of Scotland on The Max, hosting his daily daytime show. Dave also produces and presents The Retro Chart Show which is broadcast on over 40 radio stations worldwide every week.
Dave has his own broadcast standard recording studio where he produces voice over’s and bespoke syndicated radio programming for various stations and businesses worldwide. Dave has recorded voiceovers for radio commercials, promos and for station imaging. He has also recorded “Voice of God” announcements for events, theatre productions and schools. Dave has a neutral Scottish voice which has no regional bias.
Dave took up the position of Stadium Announcer at Falkirk Football Club in 2004 at a time when the club was looking to enhance the matchday experience to coincide with its move to a new stadium. Over the years, Dave has received high praise for the quality and professionalism of the matchday presentation at the Falkirk Stadium. This has led to him becoming a regular announcer for the Scottish Football Association and Scottish Women’s Football, hosting international matches and tournaments throughout Scotland. Dave has also become a regular stand-in announcer for several other Scottish Football clubs.
Dave regularly hosts a wide range of indoor and outdoor events across Scotland, ranging from radio road shows and firework displays to corporate awards ceremonies and charity balls.
